About I recently found a Casio Mp3 Sound Effect
I recently found a Casio keyboard in need of some TLC for cheap, a CT-380, check out the battery 🤮 here: @IvyPedals and a demo of the other one @IvyPedals (ct320) Since then, I scraped most of the battery acid off, and covered that side with some bubble wrap since the metal itself had rusted. Then, after a quick initial test, I went ahead and built another MIDI-mod board. Turns out these keyboards are quite similar! I've had the CT-320 for some time now, and it was the first Casio to receive the MIDI-mod. Both only allow playing of 48 of the 49 keys, just a weird quirk of these keyboard matrices that have 9 and 6 rows/columns, and the MIDI-mod board can only do 8x8, so the 9th row is unusable, but luckily only contains the C at the very end. I've played around with the CT-380 for a bit, and while it doesn't have the "Super Drums", it does have the ability to layer two tones in one sound and the drum sounds are accessable on the keyboard itself. Also, they both can use the "Casio-Chord" setting via MIDI, and can be played by the keyboard and the MIDI input simultaneously! It's a very fun way to record, since it adds a human touch to an otherwise computerized action. Also yeah, I'm trying to sell the CT-320, find it a good home!
