Hello again friends! Just showing off some photos of the new 2025 builds of the LPF-2 analog low-pass filter effect pedal. This is one of Ivy Pedals' first designs, and sits in the top 5 best selling designs. What is it? Well, the Ivy Pedals LPF-2 is a resonant low-pass filter in an effect pedal. These types of filters are usually reserved for synthesizers and parametric EQ VSTs, but now it is available in pedal format. The LPF-2 is designed to work with instrument level signals and is compatible with guitar, bass, synthesizers, and more. This is a unique filter topology that allows for independent control of the filter cutoff frequency, filter emphasis (resonance, Q), and gain/level. The filter is active and has a gain factor of ~2, so boost/unity/cut is available if you're wanting to change the output volume. What's new in this version? Well, this is the 2025 build, or the version 3 build if the LPF-2 by Ivy Pedals, and the main new feature is the faceplate, which now has the LPF-2 name in metal, and it was generally cleaned up. As for the circuit, I added an extra filter before the output buffer to help remove frequencies outside of the audio range. Version 1 was simply buffer>filter>volume for the signal chain, and the v2/v3 builds have a 2nd buffer between the filter and the volume pot, which helps with noise and stability.
