Hello again friends! Just a quick update here, since I have just ordered a new batch of effects pedals designs- the circuit boards that is- and I'll describe their features and whatnot below! Ivy Pedals HPF-2 is happening! I have been building LPF-2 pedals for some time now, as well as the Filter IV which basically already contains the HPF-2 circuit. Filters are not a common effect when it comes to pedals, but there clearly is a demand for analog filters in effects pedal format. I've had a few guitarists ask specifically about a high-pass filter, and this appears to be a common question online as well. So, unless I really screwed up the PCB, expect an analog, resonant High-Pass Filter from Ivy Pedals in the form of the HPF-2. Ivy's Micro Metal is another effect in the order, getting back into the one-knob/micro pedal game, but this may require further testing and development. It's been doing very well in the preliminary tests, though. Then I have the SIFTER FUZZ ! This is a silicon filter fuzz effect, and I've had the prototype on my board for a while, and I am very very excited to show this one off. One thing I wanted to achieve was a fuzz designed for modern BJTs (like most ZVEX designs), and this was an early success for me, since I landed on a two-transistor design that utilizes the transistors I keep the largest stock of. Next was the filter, where I knew I wanted a filter fuzz, but was looking into ways to avoid using a dual-gang pot for the cutoff control. At one point, I had built a filter of the same topology, but each of the two poles were controlled by different knobs. I noticed a few quirks with that setup, and after looking into it further, I landed on a design that allowed for a normal, single pot design with a very interesting sweep, as long as the poles were tuned correctly. I'm in my dirt-pedal era, so I'm looking for a larger and more complex distortion effect to design... And finally, I am running the Tempus Magi again for it's 2nd version. This is my most misunderstood effect, and I've made a few design changes to hopefully make these more accessible and versatile. The non-companding chips have all been switched, and this will serve to lower the power consumption and increase the configurations and settings in which it can be used.
