PEDALBOARD x SYNTH-O-PHONE part 3 Hello friends!!!! This is from the final batch of Synth-O-Phone demos featuring Sandy, the Melodic Synth-O-Phone seen here. Part 1 can be found here: @IvyPedals and part 2 @IvyPedals. This is a DI recording, phone to pedals to DI. Vox/mic demos can be found in the other two videos. I design, hand-build, and sell effects pedals on Reverb! Ivy Pedals creates original analog effects pedals. This is a one-person show, and any purchase will be greatly appreciated and will result in more pedal designs and development. The Synth-O-Phone is what I call these modified synthesizer/phone hybrids. I have built 6(?) of these in various forms, but usually/ideally they end up being the ~Melodic~ type, which is basically a square wave synth. Some have keypads that can interface with a microcontroller, like this one here, and I make those into the Melodic versions with a 12-key chromatic scale and an octave rotary switch. Other phones I've modified have different keypad designs, and those usually end up as a DTMF Synth-O-Phone since those chips are fairly easy to hack, and it has a nice clean output pin. It also retains the original/actual DTMF tones since many of them use a crystal for timing/pitch. Also featured in this phone is a Ringer button, an extra input, and a filter for the synth. Besides the ringer and extra input, this will likely serve as the basic Synth-O-Phone model for future builds. I did a major code overhaul for this one and I don't want it to change very much from this form here. Also, many have asked about more phones, tutorials, etc. and I do plan a tutorial/how to in some form for these.
