"Sweet & Sour America" - Demob Happy I started listening to Demob Happy almost exactly a year ago. They're a pretty straight down the middle alt rock band with three band members and currently based in Brighton, England. it wasn't until I'd listen to their discography a few times over that it hit me: these guys sound like The Beatles. And I swear that's not just me being an American saying "Hey this British rock band sounds like the most famous British rock band ever." They actually sound like a modern version of the Psychedelic era of The Beatles, once you get into their songwriting a little bit. It's very clear to me and others that I've shown their music to that they must be influenced by The Fab Four. This is the fifth single they've released in 2023 which to me means it's only a matter of days before a full album comes out. They're also doing some major touring over the next several months including covering most of Europe and then heading to the States, which I think will be their first time playing shows in America. Also, I don't think it's any coincidence that before the first time they go to America they released a single called "Sweet & Sour America". I love this band. I love this song. And I hope to catch one of their shows while they're in the States. Edit: their London show from last night looks epic.
