Alright, who’s got their Oasis tickets? Not me, but, all the reunion news was an easy excuse to bust out the ES-355 and record one of my favorite Oasis solos. Coincidentally, selling this guitar is probably the only way I could swing the price of tickets and a trip to the UK. Though I think I’ll keep it and hold out for a show closer to home. Oasis (& Noel in particular) were a big influence on me when I started playing guitar and jamming with other people. I was really into the solo shows Noel did and loved hearing the acoustic versions of the songs. The Importance of Being Idle was always a favorite. This tone is nice and simple, running the 355 straight into the Tape Echo, set for a quick delay and a nice bit of spring reverb, and into the first channel of the Black Cat set to a nice bit of breakup.
