PEDAL DEMO: H2O by VisualSound Hello again friends! today I have another synthesizer + effects pedal demo, and this one features the VisualSound H2O dual chorus/delay effects pedal. This demo features my MIDI'd Casio CT-320 and is recorded DI with an interface. I design, build, and sell effects pedals myself, and those can be found primarily on ~ Vibrolo dot com ~ and some on Reverb, though Vibrolo takes priority for new builds generally. So I have mixed feelings about this pedal. I got it in a trade, and I was eager to find out what was inside and how it sounded. My review for the chorus side of the H2O is 9/10 - it's a superb bright analog chorus with a very unique tone and has multiple delay time controls. My only note is that I wish it had a tone knob lol. I've looked inside this pedal as well, and there was a BL3102/BL3207 chipset, confirmed analog chorus. And for the delay side, oof, it kinda sucks. Inside, there is a massive CPU chip that handles the digital :( delay. I had high hopes for this, since I didn't see a PT2399 I figured that it might be a clean digital delay with tons of memory, but alas, it sounds worse than most PT circuits, and it's analog-modeled which just means it's filtered. Too much filtering, and the repeat knob has strange behavior. I will note that when both effects are active, it definitely 100% sounds like you are playing underwater. I may hate the delay part, but this pedal absolutely delivers on its H2O namesake.
