Looks like we’re giving NYC a run for their money 🏃🏽♀️💨 This is how to make everything bagels 🥯 For the bagels: 500g strong bread flour 300ml tepid water 2 tsp dried yeast 1.5 tbsp sugar 1.5 tsp salt Egg/ milk wash For the everything seasoning: 2 tbsp Black Sesame Seeds 2 tbsp White Sesame Seeds 1.5 tbsp Garlic Flakes 1.5 tbsp Onion Flakes 1 tbsp Poppy Seeds 1/2 tbsp Flakey Salt Preheat the oven to 200°c. Mix the yeast with the water and allow this to bloom for 5-10 minutes. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, sugar & salt together. Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients and mix until a shaggy dough has formed. Tip onto a flat surface and knead for 10 minutes. Put the dough into a lightly greased bowl, cover with cling film & allow to rise for 1-1.5 hours / until doubled in size. Once proved, tip the dough onto your work surface and divide into 8 even pieces and shape into balls. Cover and rest for another 10-15 minutes. Using your finger and thumb, create a whole in the middle of each dough ball to create the classic shape of a bagel. Being a large saucepan full of water to a simmer and boil the bagels for 1-2 minutes on each side. The longer you boil the bagels, the chewier they’ll be. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on a rack or paper towel. Give each bagel an egg wash before adding your toppings. In this video, I’ve gone for everything bagel seasoning.
