Alex and I tossed back and forth who would be the one to make this post, neither of us really wanting to. I get why, now that I’ve sat down to write it. Because I have to ask for something, and it’s sort of sucky to get on here and directly do that. But, rodents gotta eat. I’ll make up for it later with so many cute pictures. Most of the animals in our care — including this adorable hammie, Max, and the 71 other hamsters — eat Mazuri Rat and Mouse food as their staple diet. It’s supplemented with a whole bunch of other stuff, but the core is what we refer to as ‘Rodent Block.’ Even though we’re spaying, neutering, and transferring out healthy adoptable animals as quickly as we can, we’re still going through astronomical amounts of the stuff. Seriously. I don’t understand how such tiny mouths can be such black holes. We’re running low on the ole Block, and could really use some off our wish lists.
