Throw on some headphones for this Re-Sound Designed #sololeveling scene I mixed in Dolby Atmos using only @sansound3 SANWEAR–GT earbuds for the entire process. The binaural version of the Atmos mix works best on headphones. I really wanted the listener to hear the cavernous space that all of this takes place in. So a key part of the process for creating this redesign was mixing into a convolution reverb as I went along. The result is a bass heavy and phase swept cavitation that I hope grounds the larger than life SFX into the scene. This one is a bit of a hybrid between true stereo and binaural. About half of the sounds are routed to objects moving around and the other half stay static, which just seemed to work well. I’d love to hear your thoughts on that front. By far my favorite sounds to automate were the volcanic eruptions that fly by the listener! I feel like those really clicked into place, thought they took a long time to get right haha.
