My remix of @Glass Animals - Creatures in Heaven. Initially this version was made as my IG collaboration video with Glass Animals last May. Hearing Dave’s vocals for the first time left a deep impression—they were incredibly rich and full of emotion. That moment sparked the idea to create a space where his voice could flow naturally, breaking free from rigid patterns while still embracing the essence of a song. To shape this world, I built an ensemble of tape machines, each performing generative synth and piano segments. Alongside these, I layered artificial bird songs from my personal archive and field recordings captured in places like springtime forests, Malibu Creek, Joshua Tree, and the serene nights of Portugal’s countryside. A special element came from a Califone magnetic card reader, which played snippets of HAL 9000’s voice from 2001: A Space Odyssey. The band suggested including this as a nod to the iconic film, and I jumped at the chance, being a longtime admirer of its legacy.
