It’s taken me a long time to get here, and I don't just mean this distance. Social media has made it hard for me sometimes to feel confident in my running. It always feels like I should be wearing something different or doing something better. But I just finished 14 miles on my feet. And regardless of how fast I go or what my body looks like, I deserve to feel my best. For me, that means I often just pick the clothes that feel best to me. I don't starve myself on these runs. I hydrate like it’s vital, because *newsflash*, it is. Those facts don't change because I'm big or slow. And I used to think science didn't apply to me. I take BodyGlide on my runs in case some unexpected chafing issues pop up, but @aquaphor has been the key to my comfort on these big days, for my foldy body. Today, I'm recovering. I’m really happy with how my recovery feels, and starting to feel confident about my prep for these longruns during #marathontraining.
