Gotta love those Flanger Chugs! Usually I prefer to use the MXR EVH Flanger, but this time I used the onboard AmpliTube one (the preset is included with Shred Like Ed). I hear that the original MXR that Eddie used is much better sounding, but as long as it offers a nice jet engine 'swoosh' then I'm not too fussed honestly. Sorry for getting excited with the pinch harmonics in the verse, I just couldn't help myself! This tone with those slinky 8s is just begging for it 🤘 Pinch harmonics can be a tricky technique to start with. I found that overusing them for a time was an effective way to become confident with them (though my high school band probably didn't enjoy it!). As you can see here, it's just a slight brush of the thumb against the string, but not too much so as to choke the note.
