Repairing my Sony A7C 🤕 After years of use, the threads of my tripod mount have given out. Before this repair, they were totally stripped, making the camera unusable in essentially every way other than handheld. I found a lot of options for replacement for other alpha cameras, but finding the right 1/4-20 replacement for the A7C in particular was a lot harder. Eventually though, I did find a supplier on eBay. Shipping took way too long, but it’s so nice having this camera back in working order…didn’t even realize just how critical it is having a working tripod mount (tripods, plates, cages, etc.).
