In 2007 The SSC Ultimate Aero TT held the Guinness world record for the worlds fastest production car, snatching it from the mighty Bugatti Veyron. In fact it was this very car, chassis number 2 of the TT variant. It used a twin turbocharged LS6 V8 bored from to 6.3L, making 1,183 hp & 1,094 lb-ft. There were only 24 Ultimate Aero TT’s built from 2006-2007, and still one for some reason this was crushed. Allegedly the owner hated this car so much that he donated it to Tri Cities Raceway, on the condition that it must be totally destroyed. So they crushed it with a monster truck and then allegedly fed it to a giant fire breathing metal dragon. This car was a huge piece of automotive history and has now sadly been reduced to dust.
