This is the C215 Mercedes-Benz CL55 AMG F1 Limited Editon. Only 55 of these special editions were made from 2000-2001. All of these special edition cars are were finished in brilliant silver metallic, just like the F1 safety car that it was inspired by. It was powered by the famous naturally aspirated M113 5.4L V8, making the same 355 hp & 319 ft-lb as the standard CL55. It also used the same 5 speed automatic transmission. It did get some substantial upgrades like carbon fiber interior trim, carbon fiber ash tray lid with production number out of 55, F1 special edition side badges in carbon fiber, F1 special edition door sill plates, two tone black and grey steering wheel, and two tone black & grey leather seats. It’s believed that you could option this car with the bucket seats pictured from the press photos, but I haven’t found pictures of any car other than that one with those seats. Also the F1 badges on the side were changed from aluminum to carbon fiber on the production car.
