Playing a wee Scottish cowboy ballad on the beautiful Isle of Harris, Scotland. This song is my own wee Scottish version of an old traditional cowboy ballad called “I Ride An Old Paint”. I love reimagining these old cowboy ballads from a Scottish perspective, since many early cowboy’s were emigrants (or descended) from Scotland, it’s like taking these songs full circle. This is evident in the many Scottish place names, songs, and stories found scattered across the North American continent and its old Western frontier.
