Upon entering their home, they settled in the living room while three of them engaged in the consumption of alcohol. The woman departed from the group and proceeded to the bedroom to rest, while her husband remained in the living room to continue drinking with his friend. The husband subsequently fell asleep in the living room, leaving his friend alone to continue drinking. Upon observing both individuals sleeping in separate locations, he proceeded to the bedroom and committed sexual assault against the woman. According to the woman, she remained unaware of the assault due to her intoxicated state; she assumed that her husband had initiated intimacy. She only became aware of the situation when he was nearing the conclusion of the act. In response to the assault, the woman engaged in physical altercations with the perpetrator, resulting in him fleeing the property. They informed Reaction Officers that the male is from KwaMashu - KZN and his location was unknown.
