in a chokehold. I never really read much of Stephen King's books but this summer I finally did. And damn am I Hooked! The writing is the skill of a storyteller. Some ppl are just good at writing but Stephen King is amazing at STORYTELLING. ✨️ Mr. Mercedes starts with a man who killed a bunch of ppl and injured many more when he drove his Mercedes into a line of ppl waiting at a job fair. There is this detective who never solved the case and he is officially retired. Life seems pointless for the detective until one day he gets a letter from Mr. Mercedes. And then the game is on. The detective comes out of retirement to try to catch this psycho. 5☆ ✨️ Finders Keepers is the new detective company founded by Bill Hodges (detective from previous story) and his partners Holly and Jerome. This story starts with a young man who robs and kills his favorite author bc he didn't like how the author wrote his last book. The man steals a chest containing money and more books that haven't been seen by the public. He hides it in his neighborhood and gets away with the murder but then gets arrested and put away in prison for another crime. He waits years and the only thing keeping him alive is the day he can get his hands on the books his author wrote that no one ever read. There's a second story to this. A child name Pete has a family and his father was hurt badly by Mr. Mercedes in the first story. They lose a lot and have to move to a lower income neighborhood but the house is located near the chest of money and books. And guess who finds it? And guess who is pissed when they come out of prison to find their stash missing.
