It is an all-gender, single family-style restroom that is large enough to accommodate myself, my son with his wheelchair, my other infant son, and our large wagon of required medical supplies. If my husband had also attended the doctor's appointment, he, too, would have joined us in the restroom to support our boys and assist with medical care tasks. And we all could have fit comfortably in the space. This restroom also had a toilet with handrail bars and an open-under hand-washing station for those in chairs. There was an emergency telephone to use for additional support, if needed. And of critical importance when considering inclusive restroom spaces, a universal-size changing space to support those with additional medical care needs when they have grown too long or too heavy for the traditional infant-only changing tables. Of course, there is always room for improvements. There is always room for upgrades. There are always things that can be done to make spaces *more* inclusive and more functional for more people. But also, inclusion should not be viewed as an addition, above-and-beyond ask that carries an astronomical price tag.
