A fun little experiment with the @oaka_instruments Tellus contact microphone. For my first test I popped a blob of wet sugar on the contact microphone. I sat for around 2 hours waiting for the bees to land on it and nothing happened. My next attempt was to break off a bit wild marjoram off (the plant they kept landing on) and clamp it in between the contact microphone and the stem. After about 10 minutes we had a successful landing! I guess the bees are more interested in working than drinking some sugary syrup.
