Boy oh boy. God's plans are always SO MUCH BETTER than my own! Never in one billion years did I think I would have the opportunity to get to do something like this. But as I look back, I can see how God was laying the groundwork for years to prepare me for this. Will I be out of my comfort zone? YES. And I'm so glad I will be! The times in my life with the most growth and the most impact have been out of my comfort zone. It's not always fun in the moment, but it's always worth it. I was invited to go on this trip with an amazing organization called Compassion International. My mission is to help build wells in Tanzania so that communities will have access to clean water. Hiking Mount Kilimanjaro is to bring awareness to this cause. I cannot imagine my children waking up each morning without access to clean water. There are so many things that I take for granted without even meaning to. They don't have normal days at school. Moms don't have normal days with cooking, cleaning and bathing because they have to walk for hours just to get water - and then that water oftentimes makes them ill because it is contaminated. But in order to build these wells, I need your support because it's more than I can do on my own. Each well costs $18,000 and I want to help build THREE 😳. That is a big goal I know!!! But I want to take it one well at a time, and we can do this together! If 360 people each contribute $50, that's a WHOLE WELL 🙌🏼. And that changes the entire trajectory of an entire community of people for their entire lives!
