TRUTH FLASH: Just because you are in your 40's does NOT MEAN that you have to have hormonal weight gain, lose muscle tone, have low testosterone, fill in the blank with whatever other lie you have been told about your 40's and beyond. Guess what, your muscles don't actually know how old you are! YOU are in control...how amazing is that?! Another truth: I did not learn all of this and transform my body overnight. I'm STILL in the process of my transformation, but bc I'm usually terrible at sharing my story in the middle, so I'm trying to bring you in the process with me 😂🙌🏼. I just took you through a snapshot of my journey, but that does not include the crippling fear that I felt eating more calories, when my body was adjusting and I cried to my trainer twice in one week (we meet 2x per week or it would have been more 😂). The anger I felt at the demands of women to "do it all" and still look great. And so many more LOW points that I have experienced along the way. What I did not realize when I started my accidental fitness journey was that I would change mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. That it would give me courage to try new things. That I would feed my family better foods because I myself was eating better foods. That my kids would see me have self discipline. That my husband would be inspired and get in the best shape of his life too. That I can understand and love this body God graciously gave me and through my failures and frustrations I can teach and inspire you too. Putting anything body related in the public eye is a scary thing to do. You might judge me if you see me in public and think I don't look perfect. I DON'T! But I'm working towards my best version and loving every freaking second of it. Fall in love with the process and you'll never stop doing it.
