Phad Thai with Fried Soft Shell Crab INGREDIENTS: - 1/2 pack of dried Phad Thai rice sticks - 1/4 cup of oil - 1 liter of warm water - 1 whole shallot (finely chopped) - 2 tsp of minced garlic - 3/4 cup of fresh tamarind puree - 1/2 cup of palm sugar - 3 tbsp of fish sauce - 3pcs of soft shell crab - 1 cup of rice flour - 1/4 cup of egg whites - 1 tbsp of soy sauce - 1 tsp of MSG - Pinch of white sugar - 1 large egg - Chives as preferred - Bean sprouts as preferred - Crushed chili peppers as preferred - Crushed peanuts or pumpkin seeds For the Phad Thai Sauce combine ingredients below & set aside - 3/4 cup of tamarind concentrate - 1/2 cup of palm sugar - 3 tbsp of fish sauce For the fried soft shell crab: - Combine soy sauce, msg, white sugar with the egg whites - Dunk soft shell crab to the mixture then dredge with rice flour - Deep fry on high heat for 3mins - Set aside PHAD THAI STIR FRY: - Fill dried rice sticks with 1 liter of warm water & strain after 5 mins of soaking - To a wok on high heat, add oil, shallots, garlic, tofu & simmer for 2 mins. Then add 3 tbsps of the Phad Thai Sauce & simmer for 2 mins - Add the rice noodles, chili pods/flakes, remaining Phad Thai Sauce & stir fry for 2 mins - Push the Phad Thai off to the side, add 1 tbsp of oil, crack in the egg, fold in chives, bean sprouts, & stir-fry once eggs are 90% cooked - Adjust to taste & stir fry on medium heat Top with crushed peanuts (I used pumpkin seeds, bean sprouts, shredded carrots, squeeze of lime juice, chili flakes, fried soft shell crab & enjoy #Thaifood #phadthai #thailand #softshellcrabPhad Thai With Fried Soft Sound Effects Free Download.
