After watching the beautiful sunrise at the viewing platform and taking photos with the jeep (well, not really—we were actually rushing to go horse riding), we hurried off to the next destination. When we got there, there were so many people and so many horses! Then we were each called up to get on our horses. Just like that, the ride to Mount Bromo began (I actually wanted to ride the one with the colored mane 😅). While riding, I kept filming—holding the reins with my left hand and desperately trying to shoot videos with my right. Meanwhile, my butt was hurting 😂. But honestly, I was super happy the whole time. It was my first time riding a horse, and we were trekking across this black volcanic sand—it felt like I was on a journey to seek the scriptures 😂. Once we reached the foot of the mountain, I regrouped with my friends and we started climbing the stairs. The staircase was really long, but I pushed through all the way up in one go, just to reach the crater. And when I got to the top—the view that greeted me was absolutely breathtaking. That stunning scene is forever burned into my memory. It was majestic. Walking along the crater’s edge, I felt so tiny. Beneath my feet was Mount Bromo, still an active volcano. The thick smoke rising from the crater, the ash-laden wind, the strong smell of sulfur, and the rumbling from deep inside—it all reminded me how powerful nature is. You can’t help but feel a deep respect for it.
