Part 1| Whilst in my Dipper Pines cosplay for Friday of the annual Anaheim Wondercon convention, I felt very inspired by a dance trend started by the one and only, @jasonritter1980 . Thought I would take a crack at said famous TikTok “Matlock Dance” trend that Ritter has started. Although I cannot confidently say I have perfected my form, I do think that this was a solid effort for a first attempt. I do think I had added way TOO MUCH ARMS for my liking, far less kicking than I would have otherwise preferred, BUT ALAS, it’s all apart of the learning process and the next dance will be much better. I cannot in good faith know for sure how the pines’s would do their own personal renditions of the matlock dance, but I do think there is a certain ridgidness of my performance that really ties back to Dippers character. I could only assume Ford’s matlock dance would be somewhat similar. With such an analytical mystery solving mind, the matlock dance fluididy becomes warped and changed.
