Picked up my pre-op kit last week. I thought I’d be posting more, but spent the weekend scared, anxious & riding waves of emotion. Trying to stay present with the ones I love. This is my 1st major event where my body hasn’t gone straight into dissociation. I’m actually feeling it all. And I think that’s healthy & symbolic of how far I’ve come in healing. My body is able to stay present now, so I can actually process instead of escape. I’ve experienced grief before, so I thought this would be more straightforward. Instead it’s layered with sadness, fear & doubt, random weird anxious excitement...this is a major threshold moment.
