I’m so excited to finally share with you, a sound test of the Q1 max by @Keychron - This was a collaboration that I was really looking forward to because it just reminds me so much of when I first got into mechanical keyboards and I feel like most of us either started with a keychron keyboard or it’s at least popped up in our search history like it did for me! This keyboard is available both as a prebuilt or barebone kit (i.e no keycaps and switches) and I had to go for barebones as usual! Looks wise, I can’t be more happy - the case is the perfect shade of white. It is slightly warm tone but neutral enough to work with any keycap set. In terms of sound, I think it definitely leans towards a thocky and foamy sound - my type of board 🤓 If I’m being picky, it is slightly pingy but it’s honestly barely noticeable. Some notable features of the Q1 max: ☁️ 75% layout ☁️ aluminium body ☁️ QMK/VIA programmable ☁️ supports mac & windows ☁️ tri-mode connection (wired, bluetooth, 2.4ghz receiver) ☁️ hot-swappable ☁️ gasket mounted At ~£168 for the barebones kit and ~£185 for the prebuilt option, it’s not the cheapest option on the market but I think it’s got a very clean and classy touch to it, and being QMK/VIA supported is a huge win for me.
