Capturing Sound with The VP3 š¤Ā š„ At this point in my career, Iāve used a lot of different microphones. Like lenses, there are different mics for different jobs. This is the VP3 - Supercardioid Condenser XLR Shotgun Microphone by @comica_audio and they sent it over to me in order to test out and make a video on. That said, these are all my honest thoughts and the audio samples at the end are fully unprocessed and straight out of the VP3 + A7IV combo via the included XLR to 3.5mm cable. I actually love how this mic sounds for talking head / voiceover work, but I really enjoyed shooting outdoors with it in order to capture some of the mid-spring ambient sounds here in NY. This mic has other great features like two power options, a high pass filter, and it comes in a really great protective case.
