On this day… August 26th… I was born. 💫 My late mother… my Queen… went into labor on a rainy night… streets flooded… on August 25th (the year I was born). My dad… carefully… drove through those flooded streets to the hospital where my mom would have many complications trying to give birth to me. My precious mother was in labor for hours… no pain meds… couldn’t holler, couldn’t cry (nothing to raise her blood pressure), and couldn’t receive any pain medication for pain or it would’ve killed me, bc the umbilical cord was tightly wrapped around my neck. My late father, helplessly… held my mom’s hand, and the ONLY thing that he was able to do was keep her as calm as possible, and tell her to… “breathe”. When my mom was alive, I would celebrate her on my birthday. But, now… I believe that I should celebrate my life, bc only The Most High knows the many trials, tribulations and “close calls” I’ve had. I am THANKFUL… GRATEFUL… and SOOO very BLESSED to be alive, sane and STILL carry His Love within me.
