I am VERY excited to annouce that I am going to be working with @Dorothy House Hospice Care on an exciting new project, using deadstock/waste from their donations, helping to reduce growing costs whilst supporting their commitment to sustainability. Every year it costs Dorothy House £70,000 to dispose of and recycle donated items that are broken, dirty or unsaleable. This is equivalent to two weeks of Hospice at Home care; delivering personalised care to patients at home in their final days. By reworking clothing that Dorothy House cannot sell, it will not only help to reduce the amount of items going to landfill, but will also help save money that can fund vital end of life care. I am very excited to be working with Dorothy House to launch a bespoke range of T-shirts that will launch in their shops in September About Dorothy House: Dorothy House Hospice Care provides exceptional free palliative and end of life care to a population of over 550,000 people in Bath & North East Somerset, and parts of Somerset and Wiltshire. We provide medical services, family support and personalised hospice at home care for around half of the people in our community who are approaching death. We are funded partly by the NHS, but predominantly by donations, our 29 shops, and fundraising efforts. For every £1 from the government, we have to work hard to raise another £4 to make sure that we can meet the growing need for our services.
