May the Force be with you. "Han Shot First" - Out everywhere May 4th! May 4th will be the release of our next track. We had the pleasure of working with @chrisfrenchiesmith on this one as well. He was really awesome at helping us bring the song to life in the way that we envisioned it. This song started as a "jam" as most do with us. We then listen back and continuously try to refine the parts, structure, melodies etc that we like until we have a finished product we are happy with. Frenchie took our vision and ideas, and as a Master Jedi does, embraced his young padawan learners to help them use the force for the good of the song š . We can't wait to continue working with him on our next several songs! During the writing process for each new jam we have always come up with a random or crazy name to quickly reference the different parts. This song for instance, like some past, (Monkey) the name stuck. So, Jerod came up with the idea of releasing the song on May 4th which we all thought was perfectly fitting for a song called "Han Shot First". To those that don't know; "Han Shot First" refers to a controversialĀ changeĀ made to a scene in the filmĀ Star Wars, in whichĀ Han Solo is confronted by the bounty hunter Greedo in theĀ Mos Eisley cantina. In the original version of this scene, Han shoots Greedo dead. Later versions are edited so that Greedo attempts to fire at Han first. DirectorĀ George LucasĀ altered the scene to give Solo more justification for acting inĀ self defense. Such a cool peice of info!
