Christmas in the summer means sun, sand and Christmas ham!š Shanice and Lima at @SLShomecooks are stepping in with the assist recipe fit for the season, try it out and let us know how you get on!š¤¤āļø IngredientsĀ Leg of ham 1 cup of honey of choiceĀ 1/2 cup of soft brown sugar 1/4 cup of pineapple juice Fresh whole pineapple (alternative can of sliced pineapple) Handful of whole clovesĀ Dijon mustard ( Dijonnaise is a creamier milder alternative) Optional add pieces of canned cherries in the middle of each pineapple for extra decoration and flavour Method - Preheat oven to 190C on bake - Remove layer of skin from ham (this is so that all the fat and flesh can properly absorb the flavour)Ā - Cut criss, cross lines across ham. - In between each cross cross gap push in whole cloves - Make your marinade sauce by combining the honey, mustard, pineapple juice and brown sugar. - Cut up pineapple into circle shapes - Pour approx 1/2 of the honey mustard sauce over the ham and rub into all gapsĀ - Place a bed of pineapple pieces under ham - Cover ham with pineapple using cooking skewers to hold in place (if also using cherries place the cherry in the middle or pineapple piece and push skewer through cherry to pineapple) - Put into oven in a middle or bottom rackĀ - Cooking time is 2 and a half to 3 hours - After 30mins pour a 1/4 of the sauce you have left and rub overĀ - After the next 30mins pour remaining sauce and repeat - Baste every 30mins with sauce / ham drippingsĀ - Once cooked ham should have a golden glazed colour - Cut up to serve and enjoy!Christmas In The Summer Means Sound Effects Free Download.
