James O’Connor x TH7 BodyLabs Meet our new Ambassador, @jamesoconnor832 We are honoured to welcome such a talented, inspiring and resilient athlete in the TH7 BodyLabs Ambassador team. James is an Australian rugby player who became the youngest super rugby player ever, debuting his career at 17 years old and joining Australia’s National Rugby Team a year later. James played overseas for 6 years in France & England before moving back to Queensland in 2019. Since moving back to Australia, James has become a big advocate for men’s mental health and wellness: “In my early to mid 20’s I was suppressing my feelings, suffering from substance abuse and became deeply depressed. I was lucky enough to meet a mentor who helped me dig deep and try a more holistic approach, through breathwork, sauna and ice bath. I became an advocate in this space because I wanted men to know that many of us suffer in silence and that you can turn your world around and find happiness again. Part of me coming back to Australia was to show that there is hope even when things seem tough and that you can get back to the top through hard work, staying true to yourself and finding your purpose. I’m very grateful to be in the position I am now, and I want to share what I learnt on this journey to help other men cope with their own mental health and life challenges. I’m now on a mission to live my most authentic life with the hope to inspire others to do the same!” We can’t wait to share more about men’s mental health, breathwork and overall wellness.
