Making class tshirts with Rit Dye is super fun, affordable, and easy! It’s okay to be a little extra 🥳 Here’s some tips if you want to try! (I’m not a professional 😉) ❤️Walmart has bulk Hanes packs of shirts that you could purchase for a decent price! I do think washing them before would help if you use new shirts. ❤️I ended up using 2 bottles of dye for 17 shirts. I think 1 would’ve worked though! ❤️ I boiled a pot of water with a cup of salt. I used a big clear container in my bathtub and filled it with some hot water before adding the salt water to it. I also added about a tablespoon of dawn soap. ( Tik tok told me to do it 🤣) ❤️I let them soak overnight and the color turned out great! ❤️I rinsed each shirt out by hand until the water ran mostly clear…then ran all the shirts on a rinse cycle in the washer. After, I washed them normal with cold water. ❤️I made sure the shirts were damp before students tied with rubber bands. ❤️ youtube has some neat videos with step by step design instructions & visuals.
