when I started t almost 5 months ago I told people I planned to sing and perform through my entire transition, jokingly saying that I was “simply built different” so id be able to do it. I don’t actually think that but I do think that a combination of low dose and practicing regularly can make it possible to sing through a transition (or at least I hope!) I’m lucky enough to be in a band that’s super understanding of my whole deal, and we just moved this song down a full step. It feels way better to sing now! Still, I know I’m making more mistakes than I was before T. But I’m ok with that. My next show is in September and my voice will be different then too, looking into a couple in October as well.
