About Global Game Jam '24 is Mp3 Sound Effect
Global Game Jam '24 is in the books. Ryan, Carter, and I had 7 days to make a game based on the theme "Make Me Laugh". We came up with "Cycle Du Soleil", a clown centered Unicycle battle racer game. It was a unique challenge to score a game around clowns that isn't your modern scary clown thing. All I knew is I wanted the songs to be upbeat and a bit ridiculous. And somewhat far from the stuff I do now. I drew a lot of inspiration from my early N64 days; Banjo Kazooie, 1080° Snowboarding, and Diddy Kong racing in particular. Unfortunately, we couldn't get some design elements like attacks/power ups/weapons and their respective SFX, but I'm still happy with what we accomplished.
