STORYTIME ✨ I got invited to a content day for The Conjuring: Last Rites and honestly had no idea what to expect. It turned into one of the most unforgettable experiences I’ve ever had. We were split into small groups and brought onto set with a real medium (@sarathemedium) for a séance. Before it was my turn, in my head I asked both of my grandparents to come through. When she got to me, she said, “I feel two people, a couple with grandparents’ energy… your mom’s parents, right?” She went on to share details that shook me to my core (in the best way). She said my grandfather was outgoing and social, while my grandma a bit quieter - nudging him, saying, “don’t forget me.” Which is an exact interaction they would've had. She said they called out that “Rae” wasn’t my real name, which is true because they always called me by my given name, Rachael. She even described my grandfather as very “maternal” with me. He cared for me like a third parent, cooked meals, and took me to after-school events. She said his wisdom is something I carry, but they also reminded me I need to ask for help more often instead of trying to carry everything myself. Hearing that they’re proud of me, always with me, and at peace was more than I could have hoped for in that moment. And if that wasn’t crazy enough, Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson casually walk in. YES, the Ed and Lorraine! They had been watching the whole time and were just as amazed as we were. Their energy was so kind and genuine, and it felt surreal meeting two icons I’ve only ever seen on screen. The whole day left me feeling grounded, grateful, and more connected than ever to my grandparents. I’ve always been open to psychics and mediums, but this experience made me believe in it even more. There’s just no way she could have known those details on her own. I’ll carry this with me forever.
