I was not expecting the amount of support on my last post about Alfie. I am at a loss for words š„ŗ The fact that more than 1,500 of you commented sharing stories and pictures of not only your beautiful pets who have passed away, some shared stories about your children, your siblings, your mothers, fathers and grandparents who have passed too, and all of you created this incredible community of support in my comments section. I cannot thank each and every person who took and is still taking the time to share your story with me. I read every single comment, thereās not one comment, I smile at them and I cry with you all. The compassion humanity can have astounds me. Thank you all so so much. A lot of you reminded me and other readers to actualise and validate grief, itās a very painful process. It takes a very long time. Iām hurting every day since and I can only hope that I will learn to expand my life around him. Alfie unfortunately passed away at the height of a very traumatic period in my personal life, and the grief of all of it is hitting at once and thatās okay.
