Here’s my first “namesong”, for one of my favorite pianists of all time, Bill Evans. I assigned each letter of the alphabet to one of the 12 chromatic notes. ABCDEFG are obvious, and after that I spread out the remaining letters between the black and white keys of the piano. I might experiment with different versions, perhaps a diatonic system or a different ordering altogether. Which name would you like me to turn into a song next?
