I am one of few astrophotographers who does not get upset about the lines which satellite's cause in our photos and videos. I actually am thrilled when I can spot a moving satellite, especially the International Space Station or the Chinese Space Station, and I can get a camera lens on it! The first picture is the International Space Station as it passed over my backyard. The little squilles in the line were caused by my Star Trackers counterbalance pressing up against the window frame which I shoot through. The ISS looks bolder and brighter because it's closer, only 250 miles above earth. It travels around earth every 90 minutes. The remaining pictures which have lines in them could be satellite's or Space junk, like parts of rockets, non-functional satellite's, and countless other items. The one thing human kind can be depended upon for is leaving junk wherever ventured. Venus, Mars and the Moon all have the remains of proves, robotic vehicles and discarded trash upon their surface! Scientists have estimated that over 30,000 pieces of space trash are in orbit around the earth. That's entirely in my lifetime! That figure does not include all of the active satellite's like the over 9,000 Starlinks, the various landsat scientific satellite's, military satellite's, regular communication satellite's the list seems endless. In October of 1957 the Soviet Union successfully launched 2 satellite's into low earth orbit. They changed earth and Space forever. The next picture is a first for me. I captured a satellite through a cloud. The picture following that is one of a newly named star appearing in the constellation Lupus in the southern sky. It was named V462 Lupi. The last picture is one of a cloud formation following the deadly severe weather caused by a Wake Supercell which tore across North Dakota at night on June 20/21st.
