From Next Months Record Collector News THE FINAL VINYL CD AND streaming recording from Keyboardist and composer Morley Bartnoff Retrofit: The Vinyl Bon Voyage of Cosmo Topper, is due on Smelley Records early 2026 The album features remastered, recreations, reincarnations and first endeavors of Mor- ley’s last 25 years of music as Cosmo Topper. Morley has previously recorded with Stew and Heidi Rodewald’s band the Negro Problem, Dramarama and is a founding member of The Wild Honey Orchestra, since 1994. Mark Englert produced the upcoming album along with Joel Bell at Phat Boris’ stu- dio in Van Nuys, and played guitar and bass on many of the tracks. Drummer Nelson Bragg is on “Just Say Know” that Morley wrote about his brother Kevin Bartnoff, a well-respected Foley artist at Warner Brothers-and Probyn Gregory's Trumpet Orchestrates as well There are harmonic convergences from the CosMedics’ Diana Faust and Susan James. The LP has some previous released remastered, revisions of songs and singles that didn’t appear on Cosmo Topper’s, Pure Fast Vibration, plus a potpourri of covers, includ- ing “Life Has Just Begun,” written by Randy California of Spirit from their album Dr Sardonicus.
