You’ve probably seen similar announcements from other creators and yes, it’s all because of the same thing. On June 10, Amazon changed how they pay authors for books under $9.99. Before, we earned nearly $2 from each copy. Now, for the same price, we’d get just a little over $1. For a small, independent studio that’s simply not sustainable 💔 We believe this change is Amazon’s way of pushing back against the flood of AI-generated, low-effort books. And while that’s a good move in theory it also makes life harder for those of us who do things the slow, handmade, heart-filled way 🫶 So yes, the price is going up, but our heart stays exactly the same. We’ll keep making thoughtful, cozy, and funny pages for slow moments — always. That hasn’t changed 💕 PS: This price update only affects printed books on Amazon.
