Red splatters were all that was left on the road outside the Tesco supermarket near Trinity Street. Shoppers and staff were greeted with the red paint which had been used to draw the England flag against the white stripes. It's part of a growing movement across the UK called 'Operation Raise the Colours' that's dividing opinion. Supporters say it's a show of patriotism and civic pride that should be celebrated. Local residents in a social media group were quick to comment on the painting, as one person comically quipped: "My two year old niece is better than that, she can keep within the lines." "Could at least do a decent job" said another, as a third commented: "And that’s supposed to be national pride is it?
