I know this will definitely flop cause i put a lot of effort into this tiktok and tiktok doesnt like long content… so to those that see this I hope yall enjoy!! 🥰 (you are the chosen one for cool content) I am getting these photos out from waxstar touring’s Rock Monsters 2024 at Wellington’s newest venue Meow Nui ! Didn’t get the chance to photograph “In Their Image” unfortunately due to my camera acting up 😭(it seems like the gods or universe was not on my side for this gig haha) but I promise they were amazing, thiccc chugs and awesome riffage! 😎 Headliner was the one and only Aussie core legends “Make Them Suffer” !! They put on an amazing performance and definitely live up to the hype and expectations I’ve heard from Mutuals and others who have seen them live before! I’ve been wanting to see these guys live for probably 10 years now! I got a little emotional towards the end of the gig as it kinda hit me that 10 years ago I was listening to their music to help with Undiagnosed Depression and CPTSD, but more importantly I was dealing with my Epilepsy… My Epilepsy was at its worst it had ever been (Hormones of being a teenager didn’t help at all…) I was having seizures multiple times a week and pretty much bed ridden… (so going to gigs wasn’t option and I generally thought I would never get to experience gigs…) I was pretty sure my time of either Dying from a seizure or Becoming paralysed was about to come (thankfully it didn’t) and it was a hard thing to accept and the only way I found to cope was video games and music! One of the bands I was obsessed with and helped me a lot throughout my struggles happened to be “Make Them Suffer” !! Definitely helped with what I was feeling with how crap life was back then… Moral of the story I was very happy to tick them off the list of bands I have got to see live and plus photograph as well, very energetic band and I definitely recommend seeing them live if you get the opportunity too! 🤘 Thank you to Waxstar touring for letting me photograph!
