HEAVY CAPTION INCOMING: Essentially, you’re walking a path of the unknown. You don’t know where to go or how to go but you just go. A journey that is literred with doubt and closed doors but you feel compelled to go on because it’s genuinely all you can see yourself doing… I think chasing this dream is/has been the most convoluted thing Ive ever done because there’s no instruction manual on how to do it sucessfully apart from the constant notions of ‘Don’t give up’ and ‘Keep going’ It’s so easy to doubt yourself when you don’t see results that you pictured or things don’t work for you as they seemingly do others. Sometimes you’ll feel like your voice isn’t worthy enough but because you want it so bad, you’ll put additonal pressure on yourself to do more and even then, you’ll still feel as though you’re not doing enough. Ambition can taste sour when you feel as though you’re not meeting your targets. I thought I’d be really raw for a sec because I know so many other people feel exactly the same way I do or have felt previously. Social media puts extreme amounts of pressure on people in many different ways and it’s so easy to diminish everything you are, just by scrolling through someone’s else page, even without fully knowing their story. You shouldn’t compare because again, everyone has their own journey but I think we’d all be lying if we’ve said we haven’t done so at some point. To anyone chasing a dream or starting a business, don’t give up. Contextualise things often by looking at where you were this time last year, till now. I’m sure there’s been growth you wouldn’t have envisoned. Comparion is the killer of all joy and remember why you’re doing what you’re doing. When things don’t go your way, think of it as a step closer to the time that WILL go your way (I need to say this to myself more!) Keep showing up, even if it is 2 people in the likes. I’m working hard now because when Im old and looking back on life, I don’t wanna be saying ‘What if’ and as clique as it sounds, we only live once. Once! Do what you love. Prayer is key as well; where I lack words to communicate how I’m feeling to others, I know God is hearing me which provides solace in a way no other medium can.
