THEN,I listened to all of the early Sun demos he did.Just himand the guitar. My happiness,Thats when your heartaches,Wouldnt be the same and all that.... This was a process of about amonth for me of research and trying to get in Elvis’ head space as good as I could, So I could somewhat feel what I think he may have felt when he sang this. The emotion and all.” I applied Elvis’ 1954 voice to Ted’s vocals so we can hear what it would’ve sounded like IF Elvis had recorded this as a demo at Sun.
