I habe a line in my Dystopian Novel, The Great Remembering, that "The Great Remembering was designed to make you forget." And it's clear to see how the Trump administration is trying to rewrite & at times, wipe out history. Now per the idea that our military has to be a meritocracy & things must be earned. Well, the Women & Minorities who accomplished these things in the past weren't handed things. Matter of fact they had to work harder than White Males to accomplish them as the deck was stacked against them. But what in the world does any of this have to due with Harriet Tubman & The Underground Railroad? There was no protocol for this. She spent her life, risking her own life, so others could enjoy the freedom that she herself obtained. BTW, more per DEI. The majority of CEOS are White Males. The majority of Board Members are White Males. The majority of Managers are White Males. Women & Minorities clearly aren't just handed positions. And there's always been this Conservative idea, that someone doing well for themselves doesn't hurt you. But somehow Women & Minorities getting their foot in the door & doing well for themselves suddenly hurts to people according to the Far Right.
