Mom and Dad met on April 1st, 1961 when dad's cousin, Mary, died. Mary was my mom's best friend. It's a quirky (totally us as a family) story, but they were inseparable until Dad passed in 2022. As his health & mental clarity declined, he would often cry that my mom shouldn't have to take care of him (he was immobile). She said, "I said in sickness & in health. I meant it." They would often hold hands even in the hospital. During dad's final days in the hospital, she held his hand & kept vigil at his bedside. After he died, she said she didn't know who she was anymore without him. She passed away a year & 3 months later...reuniting with him for eternity. My dad wasn't an overly "mushy" person, but there was never any doubt we were loved. He never really wrote out anything either. We bought him one of those "Dad, tell me your story" books. I didn't think he filled it out. We were going through his books and I flipped through the book & found what you see in the 1st Pic.
