About I participated in my first Mp3 Sound Effect
I participated in my first Powerlifting comp over the weekend. This was my highest deadlift of the day. I wasn't even supposed to go to this. I'm not really a powerlifter, but I was asked if I wanted to go. So I signed up 4 days before the meet. I was 6 weeks into a hypertrophy block, and hadn't tested my maxes at all. This deadlift was my first in months. With no prep I went. And it was awesome, so much fun. I've always seen powerlifers in the same light as Elite Bodybuilders, as something I could never be. And while this wasn't a world's level meet or anything, it was amazing to see the diversity of people who competed. From a 17 year old girl who only set foot in the gym about 7 months ago. All the way into a thin 60 your old man. And everything in between.
